Easy Stir Fry

I always keep these all natural noodles on hand at my house to make an easy stir fry with whatever veggies you need to get rid of, but I never seem to have a good sauce to put on them.

I just found this recipe for Teriyaki Sauce and I think it's perfect!  I use Basalmic Vinegar instead of the Sherry, but you could use any other kind of sweet vinegar or vinegar with a little bit of sugar (or sugar replacement) and it would be just fine too.  I used agave instead of the white sugar and it was great.  It came from allrecipes.com.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup cooking sherry
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sherry, sugar, ginger, and garlic.

  1. Bless you for this recipe! Corey and I LOVE asian food but don't have many recipes. Many thanks, many thanks indeed.

  2. Had this for dinner last night... great reviews from all! I made it the same way as Shay. We thought a little sauce went a long way, so be ye warned. Although- I couldn't find those exact noodles and settled for an all natural rice noodle- which maybe makes less? We had ours with broccoli, red pepper, carrots, celery, and green onion. I think next time we will try some kind of combo involving cabbage and bean sprouts. Yummm!

  3. Oh, yes, I forgot to mention that! The first time I made it, I dumped the whole thing of sauce in and it was almost inedible! Yes, a little goes a long way. It's really strong, and the noodles soak it in so well that it ends up pretty flavored if you use too much! Glad you liked it!

  4. Anyone use Bragg's Liquid Aminos? I tried it in this teriyaki sauce as a soy sauce replacement and it tasted the same to me and I felt much better about it. I just wish it was more affordable, but I was able to get it for a decent amount and I figure that we won't go through it that quickly.
